hi guys im pulling my hair out i 2 probs
1 z Axis cutting height changes after z retracts in other words when doing text first letter is cut correct each letter after that gets lighter i.e the cutting height raises to the point that the end mill doesn't touch job
2 when cutting text letters change position im feeling like im not smart enuff to run this machine

Could be a number of things causing your problem.
Post a pic of your machines Z axis.........
Have you checked the steps per unit for the Z? Any backlash? Anything loose or slipping on the driven axis? Cutter slipping in the collet?
What software are you using to generate the code? Are your setting the Z retract height correctly?
How much is the Z changing?

sorry about that hood to be honest i didnt know how to supply the info you requsted ive come to the conclusion that it must be code related ive down loaded some g codes in the free codes section seem to work fine since i will be mainly doing ingraving name tags for my work i downloaded desk engrave and now when ingrave the letters are slightly stagered on the x axis once again i opologize for not supplying info thanx

Never had a problem with the code generated by DeskEngrave.

Can you post a pic of the actual engraving done and also the file used?
