Title: mach3 post and Syil X5 post processor

Hi, I'm the 'new kid on the block' and I hope someone can help me. I am about to purchase a Syil X5 mill and am trying to sort out the softwared RhinoCam/Mach3. I think I have this right.....RhinoCam need a post for Mach3, and Mach3 needs a post for Syil X5?

Questions..
1. RhinoCam comes with Mach1/2 posts preloaded...do I need the Mach3 post from the Artsoft website?
2. Mach3 needs a Post for Syil X5...the only one I've seen is for the X4 by Syil Canada....and when I downloaded it the file was *.xml not *.spm, is this a problem?
3. I've seen posts called Mach3 and Mach3 ATC on the Mechsoft website....what is the difference and these only download as html files !!!

If anyone has some suggestions that would be great! Thanks.

Mach3 does not need a post for your mill, only from RhinoCam to Mach3

Look on this site, you should be able to find the post you need.

Thanks Jeff, that helped me resolve most of my questions. Just the last part - what is the Mach3_ATC Post used for? Auto Tool Change ?

ATC is for automatic tool changer but lower in the list, there is a Mach3 post without ATC.
