Title: turning g code

I am just getting started and I would like a G code for turning down rod to a predetermined O.D.

I would like the whole code so that I can see how the code works.   I am using a gear cutting wizard currently and I can make it do what I want but I can't see the whole code and this make thing harder to learn.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jay,
Try using one of the lathe wizards. There is one for turning a rod  down to a diameter.
You can play alll you want and will learn by doing.

When I was reviewing the Wizards this morning, they looked the same as my Mill Wizards.

I will check again when I get home!!

Jay,
I just assumed that you were talking about using the the lathe along with the lathe screen.
You will find lathe wizards but the mill wizards willl not be listed.  ???
