Title: Custom Made Telecaster Body
Post by: studysession on December 24, 2010, 05:33:09 PM
Hi -
I have owned VCarve for a while but not always used as much until recently. I moved a few times and just built a new machine. I am making my own custom Telecaster.  Plans PDF & DXF can be downloaded from:
http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-home-depot/74504-d-size-tele-body-blueprint-files-here.html

Attached are some pics of where I am with my progress. I am not finished yet. The neck is from my SAGA TC-10.
Let me know what you think of the pics. thanks!

Is the OSB for mockup purposes??

Yes and no....

It was free so I used it to see if I can do this. On another forum I have found people have made guitars out of all sorts of materials including OSB. Now I am looking for other different woods to make another out of but with only 1 pickup at the bridge.

When I have it assembled, I will post a sample of it's sound. Can't wait to hear it myself...

Just throw active pickups in it (like EMG's) you'll never know it was OSB  ;)

I still need to figure out how to attach the output jack and what I am going to do as a finish on the body but over all here it is and it sounds good...
