Title: How do i pause spindle for auto tool change, set soft limits,& 360'rotate 4th axi
Post by: Greggm on December 06, 2010, 11:46:44 PM
I reloaded my software from to default settings and now:

EZ-Router with Auto Tool Changer

1)my spindle will not power/rpm down before it puts the tool back in the nylon holder.
where do i find and what do i adjust to pause the spindle so it wont burn up my holders ?

2)What are soft-limits and how do I re set them?

3) when i try to round off square stock, it rotates 0 to 360 travels in y then 360 back to 0, is there a command for a continuous 360 infinite rotation
thanks

1) Ports n pins, Spindle Setup, General Parameters, Spin DOWN
2) They prohibit you from hitting your limit switches or hard stops. Do a quick search and check the manual....plenty info there.
 3) Gen Config, Rotational, Rot 360 Rollover

There is no continous infinite rotation of A axis like you would with a lathe spindle.  You must Set as stated then program a rotation. You can program more than one rotation if set to rollover by stating the number of degreees of rotation needed  say 3600 deg(10 turns). Also it cannot be a seperate move it must be part of a coordinated axis move A/Y/Z  or A/X/Z

Hope that helps, (;-) TP

You can set up a separate profile with your rotary axis as a spindle.
