Title: LazyCam and Autocad 2011
Post by: markdem on September 12, 2010, 08:51:24 PM
Hi All.

I am just getting started using Lazycam. I am trying to use the MILL_LCR)_HCIR file that the manual refers to. Downloaded it from this site, and tried to save it as a DXF file without making any changes to the drawing. When I try to open it in lazy cam, it does not display anything. I have tried to save it in all the different DXF file that Autocad can save in, but non of them work.

If I try to open the original DXF, it works fine.

Is anyone else having any issues with Autocad 2011? What else can I try?

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Lazycam.

I have attached the DXF file.

Thanks

Mark

Does 2011 save as v12 .dxf? That's the one you should use.
However, the file looked OK to me in 2009. I don't use LC, so can't help there.

Hi All.

I found the issue. I can get the file to open in Lazycam only if Autocad is closed.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks

The dxf file is still in use by Autocad so you need to close the file Autocad. Two programs are accessing the same file.....
