Title: E-stops and failure to get steppers to move...

Hi,

New to the forum and Mach. I hope to have time to introduce myself properly later.

I am building a CNC router based on  JGRO's design off the CNC Zone Andhave build my own stepper board off Instructables...found here

I have managed to wire it all up and get it working in K-CAM but I would really like to use Mach (which I plan to purchase once I have got the CNC tweaked enough to warrant it). I downloaded the trial and followed the video and read through the guide but still cant get the motors to turn in Mach. Is this because I have no E-stop switch (something not clear in both the guide or video)?
If so is there a way to bypass this either using the software or shorting a couple of pins on my board? whilst I know this is not really very safe my plan is to build my own revised board after I have got a proof of concept...

Is the Reset flashing, or is there an error message? If the reset won't go off, toggle the active low setting in ports and pins.

Hi, thanks for the fast response... I did all that like it said in the video and guide which I assumed was the software workarround.)

Still no Joy... (Is still the right word?  hmmm...)

Anyhow any other ideas woul be great...
Oh and no errors either... As far as I can tell the Mach is working fine but just not with my board....

But like I say board works okay in K-CAM

Wrong port address, or wrong port assigned to pins

I am an idiot, Thanks. I forgot to assign the pins a port :)...
