Title: Lost step, but only on Program Run page - Smooth on Diagnostics Page
Post by: jrlifter on October 09, 2006, 01:08:20 AM
 ???

Mach 3 looses steps like crazy when on the Program Run page and the axis are jogged.  When I go to the Diagnotic page and move around they are smooth and never miss a beat.  This is on a Taig mini-mill, by the way.   Any ideas?

Are they jogging, or moving at the same rate in run, jog, and diag.?

Whatever I set the jog rate to is what they travel.  If I set it for step then they step by the set inc. also.  If I set it for a .2 step the axis may loose 2 or 3 steps in that distance, but if I do the same on the Diagnostic page it steps perfect every time.

I am using Mach3.  I primarily use a 2ghz Inspiron laptop with 1gig ram.  I have 4 other destops in the room and have tried them as well with the same results.  The diagnostic utility does show my signal is pretty dirty, but I don't understand why it would clean up and work great just by switching the page within Mach3?   :-\

well there was an error in the LED class that could be giving you this trouble. Try the newest version and that could help.

Thanks
