Hello,
I am trying to connect an Ascension 1000 controller to Mach 3 and I don't have the proper pin documentation for the parallel port. Can anyone help?
Thank you!

Can you post info on the controller?

The controller just says Ascension 1000. It is a 4 axis controller. My ShopBot has a dual Z axis and the second Z axis is wired to the "A" output of the Ascension. I am told by the seller that the unit is about 6 years old. The breakout board inside says Ascension 1000-4. It has four green and four red led's on the front and also says Custom-CNC, Inc.
Thank you!

sundial77,
Don't want to sound harsh,
YOU will need to spend the time looking for or asking the manufacturer for info on the controller.
May luck out and someone else will have the info. Till then, do some leg work and surely someone will be able to help you. If you hit a dead end on that, then take detailed pictures of the controller internals and then maybe someone can
give some guidence.Thats the hard way as you will need to trace things out.

I think the manufacturer went out of business. If I recall, it has Gecko drives, and perhaps a Bob Campbell breakout board?? Might want to check with Bob at www.campbelldesigns.com

Thanks for the info Gerry, if that's the case, then a picture of the controller inside will confirm and can provide help.
