Title: Inporting DXF to Mach3

Hello,

I am completly new, working with the demo version of Mach3 the last last two weeks.
Intend to buy a license after evaluation.
I have a question what´s boring me the last couple of days
Is it possible from a 3D drawing (Acad ver.2007) saved as dxf to inport this into Mach3 and convert it in G-Code like it is  ?
     or do I need to edit de G code manually (or the dxf file)
because after converting , I don´t see my original drawing I made in ACAD on the Mach Display.
Is there a forum for these kind of questions?

You will need to use LazyCAM for that. I dont use it myself so afraid I cant be much help but there is a section here that is dedicated to LazyCAM so probably worth posting there.
 If however it is a true 3D part then I think you will need a better (read  expensive) CAM programme than LazyCAM.

For 3D files I use meshcam, cheap and faily simple to use, it is only for 3D machining so don't expect ot be able to do 2.5D cutting with it.

There is a free program available, http://www.mecsoft.com/freemill.shtml

I tried is a few years ago and gave up but having looked back at it now it looks to have been worked on so may have improved.

LazyCAM will NOT work with a 3D .dxf file. I also use MeshCAM for 3D. Another option is Vectric's Cut3D.
