Title: Trying to add pattern to pool cue handle, Need help with procedure
Post by: burnit0017 on November 14, 2009, 06:24:32 PM
Greetings, I am trying to add a pattern to a pool cue handle.  I am using a CNC router with a 4th axis.
I need help with the procedure. Should I draw the pattern in 2D within a trapezoid the area of the handle and connect the X axis stepper control output to the A axis stepper. Or should the pattern be drawn in 3D?  I have no experience with using a 4th axis. This should be a great learning experience.

This is my first attempt and any input will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I do not know if you heard about wrapper but you should take a look at it.

Do a search on wrapper on this site.

http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,12749.0.html

it is only $20,00

You draw the pattern you want and let wrapper sort Gcode for the 4th axis.

Hope this help
