Title: Zooming
Post by: papachris on November 02, 2009, 04:43:45 AM
Hi there,

I,m using Lazycam for a few day's now, but when I follow the two video tutorials I get stuck at the end of the second video tutorial.

After setting the depth and number of passes to go deeper in the material, I should rotate the drawing so I can see the steps the mill should make to go deeper in the material. (a sort 3D view)

I can't figure out how to see the drawing in 3D in lazycam. Has anybody the solution how to see the drawing in 3D in LazyCam ?

Best regards

Chris

Hi Chris,

Haven't used LCam for awhile but try holding down the mouse wheel(third mouse button) and dragging.

See section 5.1 in the LC manual on how to manipulate the graphics.

Chris

Interesting, now that I'm home and tried it, it works perfectly for me here?

Rich,

Manual, where to find it ??

I have Lazycam 3.00.2 and installed also the update.

I start Lazycam in the menu from Mach3

I figured out that with R I can zoom maximum window
With Shift and the mouse I can zoom
With Ctrl and the mouse I can move the drawing

But still no way to see 3D drawing.

Do you have a mousewheel that clicks down as the 3rd button?  If so, are you holding it down while dragging?

Let's do a little test here. Go onto a webpage or something that has a lot of text. Now click the mouse wheel down once (not holding it) and see if you get that circle with the up and down arrow with the dot in the center. If you don't there's an issue with the mouse. If you do, then just move the mouse closer to you and away from you. Is the page of text scrolling?

If so, there's no reason why 3D should not work, maybe it's a driver issue but I thought all 3 button wheel mice were pretty standard nowdays.

Thanks,

With a normal mouse it works, but al my systems are using LOGITECH Marble mouse (not enough space to move a normal mouse on the table), there's no 3e button on the marble mouse.

Is there a wat to manipulate this by  the keyboard ?

Thanks for you're help,

I will figure out how to fix it another way. (The 3e button is clicking left and right button at the same time. Yhat works in any web page, but LCam is using then only the right button.

Dave, and all others,

I solved the zooming problem, There's a special driver for the marble mouse I use. I reconfigured the step down button (I never used before) to handel the 3e mouse button.

Thanks for all the response and help.

Best regards
