I've been working on a couple of gifts (pendants) for my wife and daughter and thought I'd share. They're made from Corian and this stuff is really fun to work with and it has that nice vintage glow like ivory. For scale, the jump ring hole is .062.
For my daughter, the guitar pick. She's not a guitar player but a rocker at heart for sure.

For my wife, the oval pendant and it's the #27 intertwined and mirrored with a some engravings all around the edge. The #27 is just a little "inside" thing she and I share together.

reallly nice work.. is that a texture on the bottom one? can you tilt anglea bit maybe? looks nice :)
what id you design with? path with? and cut with?
-
err
while im about it.. can i have a urine sample and know your mother maiden name?
-
Thanks, Chris, yes, that is a simple texture around the edge and I used VCarve Pro for drawing and pathing. To cut, I used my Taig Mill withe 2 different cutters (90 degr. engraving Vbit and .062 endmill) and 3 different path setups.

Hey Dave, how about making a couple of them in wax and sending them (with a bit of cash) to Chris to be cast ?. ;)
Tweakie.

Ya know it's funny you mention this. I may actually end up getting into this more and more as time goes on. Not a business or anything like that but it would be nice to find someone locally that could cast things for me.
Besides, Chris is busier than hell, I'm sure he doesn't want to fool with some idiot from my side of the pond :)

I do a little casting, Brass, Aluminum and a little Cast Iron. Haven't done any precious metals yet. Still learning and figuring stuff out.
Here's Brass rose I tried a few weeks ago, like I said, I'm still learning. :P

It didn't come out too bad, except there were supposed to be 3 of them. The other 2 didn't fill.

Budman68, for some reason I can't see your pictures anymore..?? I thought it was because I was at work, but I can't see them at home either.
