did you deinstall the old version before you installed v1.38.f?
When do you get the save error, when saving, or saving as?
Could you please give me the complete error message?

I didn't think memory space would be a problem. But if it is, no problem. I reduced the program memory space in version V1.38.f.

version V1.38 is available. Extensions:

Warning "File corrupted" can be switched off.
Opening last used file at start selectable.
File filter *.sset added.
Hotkey can now be removed with button "delete hotkey".
External editor can now be selected.
New icons for setting / resetting "Show overlaying elements for selection".

Hi Dave,

I admit, you cannot check the complete set file, but since the data is saved in the order it was added(except you did swap layers), you need only check the last entries. Anyway, in the next version everyone can decide himself, wether or not to see the warning, by setting the checkbox in the settings dialog.

Hi Dave,

I agree, showing this message as an "error" is missleading, better would be calling it "warning". This warning tells the user, that there is data in the set file which couldn't be displayed. This gives the user the opportunity to check if all data / elements are shown. After this check the user can truncate the file, by using the save command. We can now discuss if its usefull, to ask for "continue yes / no", or just acknowledge this warning with "OK" and don't save the data.
Using Screen4 doesn't do anything different, the only exception is, Screen4 doesn't tell, that there is data in the set file which isn't shown. When saving data, the file size is just truncated.

Hi Dave,

when you get the "file corrupted" message reply with continue yes, then save from within MachScreen. When you now load again, you shouldn't get the corrupted message.

Hi Ron,

I've tried your screen-set, but can't get the "Scripter Compile Error" message.
On page 0 (which is the persistant page = all elements appear on all pages) you have on the left hand side a button "Text" with the function "cycle start". On page 2 you have a label with the text "Program run" without a function.
It looks to me, page 0 and page1 is a copy.
I suppose you have the background color problems with MachScreen. The actual frame size is not stored in the set-file, Mach3 sets the frame size to the windows size for development MachScreen determines the screen size in 2 ways:
1) the outest element positions build the outer frame
2) set the frame size with the frame size button. You can select for every page the size, this gives you the opportunity to see how it will like on your target system.

To enter a button select "button" in the combo box next to the "Add" button in the property dialog. Once you selected the element you can place it with the "Add" button. Depending on "options -> settings Place obj. at mouse pos" :
Place obj. at mouse button checked         when clicking the left mouse button the element is placed at the cursor pos, to place the element repeatedly, hold down the "ctrl" key and click the left mouse button
Place obj. at mouse button unchecked     when you click "Add" the element is placed on an incrementing pos from a top, left to bottom down, to place repeatedly, every left mouse button click places another element.
