It could be flex in the machine. It won't show up when measuring backlash, but can act like backlash when cutting.

I have started with Gerry's Aqua set and have used much of the graphics as well as modified some for my needs. I don't know the protocol, I don't want to step on anyone's toes or take anyone's work and use it inappropriately.

Feel free to do what you want with it.

This is just the beginning, I can't believe how long it has taken me to just do this screen image.

Imagine how long it took me to do it from scratch.

If the DRO is working then the motors should be moving. Typically this is a result of incorrect port and/or pin settings.

There's no manual on how to do it.

Your best bet is to read every post here and watch the flash video tutorials. There are sample files here you can download and learn from, or even copy and paste.

You'll need a copy of Flash. I'm using CS3, but I don't know what other versions will work.

Good luck. You have a steep learning curve ahead.

This has nothing to do with accuracy. What's the difference if the machine coordinate is 0 or 5.68754?? Your using G54 coordinates. Zero them, and your good to go.

How are you doing this?

And why do you need to unplug the drives to Ref All Home? Without switches, the machine won't move.

I can zero my Z in G54 anytime, even as soon as I start mach3?

You should be able to just turn on the machine, click ref all home, then just set you G54 zero and work from there. When you change tools, just zero Z in G54. Not sure why your Z zero button isn't working??

I'm going to buy this just for the g-code window, but have a few questions first.

1) I can't seem to get more than 12 lines of g-code. It looks like the spacing is to great and the bottoms start to get cut off. Font Size doesn't seem to have any effect below 10-12 (not sure exactly). I've been playing with it for two hours, and every combination I came up with does basically the same thing. I'd like to squeeze 20-25 lines of code in the same space.

2) Is there an easier way to pick a background color? It's nearly impossible to pick white. And on a related note, what about greyscale? I wouldn't need white if I could pick a shade of grey.
