If you are referencing in the window program run, do it in the MDI window, I think vb script does not work in the window program run.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Subtle plateaus have rough edges.. CV?

I would't worry about the 'comfort' thing. I suspect that's more about turning accel DOWN to avoid too much jerk on high accel systems.

On your machine it's about getting as much as you can. Try upping accel until you get stalling and then reduce your max velocity. Try to find a workable compromise.

One thing you could then try if you're still having the same  cutting issues is to use CV distance setting. Turn it on and set it down to something similar to your 'subtle' height changes.

Well from a quick look I think it IS down to CV. Your accel is VERY low (0.01G). Not sure what to suggest really because the CV tuning params have their limits and your accel is not bringing a lot to the party to work with. I think you'll find that any tuning you do will effectively disable CV before you see anything change. The problem here is your gcode is lots of very short moves so you really need CV. You really need to improve that accel.

VB and the development of wizards / Re: VB execution Speed

I believe the look ahead is basically for the CV component yes?.
Exactamundo

IF the planner loads code into the buffer then Look ahead can see it and use it if possible. IF the code is only loaded one line at a time into the buffer then look ahead is NOT possible.
Buffer, schmuffer  ;D You can't CV (blend) into or out of a G31 - it's just plain silly.

AH but it does . When you call a G31 X10 the planner plans  to go to X10 . When the trip is done it is an "interupt" signaling mach to go to the next line.
Ah but the key word you used that I'm questioning is not PLANNER - it's LOOKAHEAD.

You will have to contact the makers of your USB board and ask them if THC is supported.
If it is not then you will have to ask them if they can add that functionality to the plugin for their board.
Hood
Picky I know - but I think the THC functionality has to be in the firmware of the board not the plugin.

ok,
but thats means i can not use the usb card?! Sorry, me english is not so good.

I am using the proma THC from ebay.
i need 6 input signals.
x,y and Z home switch. And THC Up, down and Arc ok.
Is there a card with PP with 6 input signals? I only found 5
You don't need two inputs for x and y home switches you can wire them in series to one pin.

OK Hood - thanks - I didn't know the CSMIO supported THC. I know the SS didn't used to but maybe that's changed.

@Thorsten - out of interest what THC are you using and why do you need more inputs than the PP gives you?
