Title: HELP: How to export snapshots of desired coordinates from Mach3 to text/excel
Post by: zerus on October 21, 2023, 12:04:56 PM
Hi,

I'm trying to use laser probe attached to the spindle on my cnc to determine coordinates on a curved workpiece in order to draft the workpiece in a CAD software e.g. Solidworks. The problem is I can't seem to find any features on Mach3 that would allow me to record coordinates as the laser probe is pointing at a point on the workpiece' edge so I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this.

To put simply, I want to potentially click on a button on Mach3 software screen, send a trigger to record coordinates at the time and write it down on a notepad/excel.

Please help  :'(

I have done something like this by saving the coordinates to a tool table which can be exported using some utilities which are somewhere on this site.

here is a wizard i did couple of years ago.

needs to be unzipped into addon folder.

the two macros (M401.m1s and M403.m1s) have to be moved to your maco folder.

then you can run it by pick wizard
