Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach 4 Feature Request

HIYA Steve as far as I know there is no option for a different Gcode editor. You do have an option for the PRO version of GCedit by buying a license.

There is a Youtuber somewhere showing the pro version.

I have even tried fooling Mach4 by renaming Notepad.exe to Gcedit.exe that was a no go as well. It knows the difference.

That has nothing to do with jogging. Where is it you want to jog from page??

If teh page does not have a JOG button on it you cannot jog from that page. To see what the jog button looks like go to the main page and look in the tool number section at the bottom of the box you will see it.

Every page you can jog from has that button somewhere. sometimes it is TINY.

That should not matter as they are from different modal groups, BUT this is mach3 we are talking about (;-)

G90 = group 3
G91.1 = group 0

Just a thought, (;-) TP

You need to talk to HOOD. He should be along shortly.

Yes you do it is BAD FORM on mesh cams behalf to LEAVE the machine in an ODD state. The SC code resets it back to G90 BUT it will NOT make it past the POST load test of the code. That is an error on Mach3s behalf.

Also both programs SHOULD end with a M30.

Yo cannot use the word ROUND as a variable it is an internal math function. Change that word to something else. I changed it to Turn.

maxtool = 6                        '# of tools in turret
  extraAngle = 6                             'Extra angle added to turret rotation
  Turn = 360                        'One turn in degrees of turret
  oldtool = getcurrenttool                       'Tool # before rotation
  newtool = GetOEMDRO(824)               'Get Tool #
  Angle = Turn/maxtool                                     'Angle of rotation i.e. 60 degrees
  number = GetOEMDro(824)                                 'Get Tool #

Code "G91"                        'Incremental Distance Mode
If GetOEMDRO(824) = 0 Or GetOEMDRO(824) >6 Then
   number1 = Question("What is current tool # ?")
   Call SetOEMDRO(824,number1)
   Call SetOemDro(803,number1*Turn/maxtool) '803 = A Turret DRO
   Exit Sub
End If
number=number+1                                            'add 1 to the #
If nummer>maxtool Then number=1                        'check if tool # is 6

'After executing the next line the X- and Z- DRO's display random figures.
'I do not know why.
Call SetOEMDRO(824,number)                                 'Set tool # in DRO

                                          'now calculate the rotation angle of turret
If number=1 Then Call SetOemDro(803,0)
ToolChange = GetOEMDRO(803)                    'Get A position
ToolChange = (Turn/maxtool)+extraAngle                  'Tool-change turret 60 + 6 CW

Code "G0 A" & ToolChange                                'execute rotation CW
code "G0 A" & -6                          '6 steps CCW

While IsMoving()
Wend
Call SetOEMDro(803,((number-1)*Turn/maxtool))

Code "G90"                             'back to Absolute Distance Mode

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Lua Question
« on: February 20, 2015, 12:39:52 PM »
Yes there is you can use a normal Message box and a IF then statement to look at the respond IF yes then do one else do the other. That keeps it simple.

Beware IF you do not compose it all correctly it can cause KAOS with mach4. I learned that the hard way with SheetCam. One wrong piece of code (1 line) brought down the entire program.

Beware untill we get proper documentation on the structuring of LUA in Mach4.

Sorry But I can't help you with the ESS as IT controls the G31 not Mach3.

Check with Greg over at Warp9.
