Yesterday I made a simple code to "touch" 4 points 500 x 500 mm apart, repeating the process 50 times, and the tool made the touch points spot on :(

It should be cutting fine calculated offset will be positive #, if plate is below material it will be negative #.
If you refer to verions prior to 3.4 you need to do it using my site to get files.
Thomas,
thank you for your kind offer, M'a Baker style :)
Will have to put my brain to overdrive again.

FAQs / Re: Setting Mach 3 Port to PCI parallel port address
« on: April 21, 2014, 02:12:51 PM »
PCI Parallel port should not change it's address after every computer power on.
I'm using one for hand held MPG, and it's address is not changing after power cycling.

Hi Thomas,
can you send me your script for TC Zero Setup?
I'm using your latest public domain screenset, heavily modified for all the functions to be mm/inch, and found, just yesterday, that if the fixed plate is higher than material surface, tool is never reaching material for cutting.

General Mach Discussion / Moving part origin

Happy Easter everybody!

I have an Chinese made router, distributed by IEHK (www.iehk.net) that, a week or so ago, I converted from pendant controller RZ********* to mach3 control.
Just to mention, I'm an electronic guy so I made my own BOB (original pendant has differential outputs, so the BOB that I made is converting LPT port Step and Dir signals to differential ones).
Today, I started a job which is 350 x 450 mm and has 7 roughing passes and one finishing.
After tool change for a finishing pass I've noticed that my origin has moved approx 0.4 mm per pass, approx 3 mm in total, both in X and Y direction. Haven't been by machine all the time, but I guess that the move occurred after every pass.
Machine is servo driven with 2.2 kW water cooled spindle.
Could not figure what caused this moving of work origin.

Attached .xml

And, screenset is Blue Tex with some scripts modified

From my, limited, experience, Chinese drivers and/or BOB's don't have Charge Pump input, mostly only Enable.

It looks that the pin 16 is the Enable pin. Try changing it's polarity in Ports and Pins.
