These things evolve  ;D

Also I now have a 12" LCD touch screen which has a 800 x 600 resolution so real estate is at a premium.

Still need big buttons for my fat stubby fingers.  :)  And bright colours are still my preference.

So these pics are an update.

I cant get rid of the "external estop requested"  Where do I change the active state. Ive tried everything & it just comes back.

It is in "Ports and Pins"  You will have to scroll down a bit.  Toggle the "Active Low" setting.

I have found that if not using the Estop function (probably should be) then it is best to assign it to a non existent pin.

I have mine set to port 0 pin 0.

If assigned to a legitimate unused pin then Mach is monitoring it at all times and will react to any noise it picks up.

Also if assigned to a pin then make sure that pin is not left floating. That's when it is most susceptible to noise.

Tie it down with a 3k resistor between it and ground.

Look at this Ebay item. 180140979019

This seller has a range of Tend limit switches.

I have had good success using them as home.

Great concept Haydn.  Could be carried even further and close in the back and ends.

Overall I like the way you have put your machine together.

It will give you a lot of good service.

Well done. You can be rightly proud of it. :D

There may be better ways to do it but this is what I would do.  (as I don't know better :))

Open your screenset in Screen4.  Select the "Ref All" button.  Uncheck  "Use Hot Key" Then recheck it.

When you do that it will ask you to "Type Any Hot Key Now"  Then press your "H" key.  Which incidentally is "72"

Save and close.  That should do the trick.  :)

Just be aware that Screen4 is a little unstable and will crash for me sometimes when doing this.  Just try again. ;)

EDIT:  Brett beat me to it. I'm a two finger typist.  :D

This is a capture of a section of the Wiki that pertains to OEM buttons

Looks like you can do it no problem.

Just need to change the name of Z to A

Will that muck up your gcode?  I guess it would.

OK I was using the latest Version R2.3

Reloaded Version R2.1.000 and it is good again so I presume there was a bug in one of the most recent upgrades. :o
