Title: Need help with AKZ250 BOB..
Post by: Quang_0507 on June 05, 2019, 04:09:13 AM
Hi guys! I'm a newbie and i'm planning building my diy cnc router , i think i'll buy AKZ250 BOB Mach3 and see that it has 16 input pin , and i want to know that can use all pin input in the BOB AKZ250 to add some pushbutton to my machine as START/STOP , JOG X++.... :) :)? Because as i know that  mach3 only support pin 10,11,12,13,15 as input pin.
If only 5 pin allow i can't add some button. Hope someone help me to know , thanks for reading my topic  :) :) :)

Hi,
Mach can handle lots of inputs, it was the parallel port that was limited.

I am not a fan of Chinese made controllers, I would recommend a better quality and much MUCH better supported controller
like an Ethernet SmoothStepper, a UC300, a 57CNC or similar, all US or European brands.

Note also that an Ethernet connected controller is likely to be more immune to noise.

Don't waste your time with the AKZ250 - do as Craig has suggested and invest in a quality motion controller.

If you spend some time reading through the forum posts you will discover the AKZ250 limitations and problems that others have experienced.
