General Mach Discussion / noobie needs help

hi guys im pulling my hair out i 2 probs
1 z Axis cutting height changes after z retracts in other words when doing text first letter is cut correct each letter after that gets lighter i.e the cutting height raises to the point that the end mill doesn't touch job
2 when cutting text letters change position im feeling like im not smart enuff to run this machine

hi guys ive got a z axis problem its driving me crazy if there is any mach user in melbourne willing to come to my place and help me set up machine i will GLADLY pay them for thair time im desprate  thanx

Mach3 and G-Rex / z axis not consistant

hi guys im a newbie and struggling with mach 3 im running it on a lap top i know this is not recommended but i will get pc once i work out if it will help solve my prob The problem is i run the code (engraving) when it starts cutting its at the correct z axis depth but every time the cutter goes to job it cuts progressively deeper on every letter  this is killing me mentally
