General Mach Discussion / Re: No motors after re-install

Hi JMK86. I am having exactly the same issue with my taig and mach3. Did you ever get to solve the issue? My driver test says excellent and still I have no movement.  :o

Nope! no joy with getting any axis to move. I think I am out of options now and tried everything I can think of including days of research looking for ideas. It seems that my time with mach3 is up  :-\

Hi all, new to mach3. I am having trouble setting up mach3 to run a taig mill. I have downloaded the suggested xml file from this discussion, but where do I place the xml file? thanks.

The .xml file is placed in your Mach3 folder.

Tweakie.

Oh thats simple enough then! Thank you. Was looking for an option in the menus to import one.

I recently had my mach3 pc hard drive die on me so I set up another old pc to run mach3 and fitted my parallel port from the old machine into the "new" one. Now I am unable to get the machine axis to move even though the mach3 DRO shows movement.

I am currently using an old mechatronics bi-polar micro stepper driver and today I think I have found the correct information for the pinout number for each axis. I will see if I can get mach3 to talk to the machine using that information today. I even bought a new mach3 license yesterday as I was sure everything would work but instead ran into lots of problems. Lets see how today pans out.  :)
