I wrote an explanation of using the "WRITE" wizard under the Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards section of the forum. It is the 7th. line down, titled Mach3 Add-on 'WRITE"

It takes a little playing with, and you can see the letters on the screen after you exit the file. It will compose the G-code, and put it in the directory as the file name write.

Here is an example of using a coroutine. This is an update that will be making into the default screens at some point along with many other major changes I plan.

I think you will find that the only way to do what you want is by using a coroutine. Check the default Ref all home button, Ref all home function in the screen load script and coroutine resume in the plc script. Can also look at the TouchOff module.

If you put message boxes in between the following lines I think you will see that the message boxes pop up immediately if it is ran from a macro or module. They will not wait until motion stops. 

mc.mcCntlGcodeExecuteWait(inst,'G0 Z'..zStart )
mc.mcCntlGcodeExecuteWait(inst,'G0 X'..-xDis)
mc.mcCntlGcodeExecuteWait(inst,'G0 Z'..tostring(zStart-zDis))

Yup, just tested it and it does work.

I'll try gCodeExecute unless he tells me that's a no-no too.

I think you will need to use MdiExecute. I still get confused on the 3 different executes myself but I think if called from anything other than a button, MdiExecute is the right one to use.

Nope, will have to use coroutines in modules

Yup

Checked all profiles' macros folders and no load_modules.mcs in any of them.

The load_modules.mcs is a relatively new addition. May be why it isn't in your profiles macros folder. It will be in coming releases default profiles if it isn't already. But for now, here it is as an attachment. Edit it as needed amd place it in your "Mach4Hobby\Profile\ProfileName\Macros" folder.

OK, I have a little info that may help.

I was wrong here.

If you have 10,000 steps per you should be able to move in .0001 increments with no problem.

I can repeat the problem here too so I think there is something to it. Will let you know what we find.

You must have a higher resolution than the step your trying to make. So to step in .0001 increments you must have steps per > 10,000 in motor tuning for that axis.

I think the reason your seeing differences in the older version and 3233 is because the default profiles were updated in 3233 or earlier but after the version it seemingly works like you want. Check your steps per for whatever axis your testing in both versions and I think you will confirm my hunch.
