Gerry,
Just tried something, in Microstation it shows all the elements as 3d on import and i changed a setting ( good grief haven't done this one in years) such that the elements were "Independant of View" and it exported and worked fine in LazyTurn.
Is there any setting in AutoCad like that?

I'm curious as to what Microstation determines is "3D"? In AutoCAD, the .dxf has 5 polylines, all in the XY plane at Z=0. Definately not 3D. I also don't see the line segment Art saw. All 5 polylines had 2 vertices each. Very simple. Unless there's something in the file that AutoCAD is ignoring, but I don't think so, as it should give an error message if that were the case.

I've never used LT, or even a lathe, but the .dxf in your previous post is 2D, not 3D.
There is no 2D mode in AutoCAD, you can do 3D at any time in AutoCAD. In other words, you can't turn 3D off. Not sure what these guys are referring to, but when they say 3D, they probably mean a 3D solid or mesh. You can't accidentally create one of those if your just drawing lines. As long as your always drawing in the top view, you shouldn't have any problems.

Take a look at my AutoCAD VBA macro. Works in 2002 and up. Converts circles and polylines (2D and 3D). Multiple passes, ramping, bi directional cutting, circular pocketing. Lots of stuff. You can assign cutting depths and feedrates (and other options) to polylines and circles, and the info will be saved with the drawing. It can also use an entities Z value for the cutting depth. Allows a lot of flexibility.

I use it for at least 90% of my cutting.
Later this year I'm going to modify it to out put code for our Morbidelli router at work.

Mach doesn't round any numbers off internally. If it did, you'd lose position over time. It'll move to the nearest step, 410 in your example.

Are you sure you're math is correct? I don't quite understand  what you're doing, but a 20:1 reduction should get you better than .002 per step.

When does the Brain turn them off? You don't seem to be doing anything that would trigger the Brain?

Also, after your "Go Home" moves, you should probably add while ismoving...wend.

First, you mistakenly have M8 for both mist and flood in the first section.

Second,

Code M8

should be

Code "M8"

Third, just set the delays in Ports and Pins, Spindle page.

Fourth, you're turning on Mist and Flood at the start. Then, you're checking for a condition, and turning them on again. But, they're already on?? So the If ... Then section doesn't really do anything.

And last, either should work. You can also use:

If GetOEMLED(24) then
....
...

You can set a spindle delay in the ports and pins page in the spindle section that should do that, or you can use G4 P1
