Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach4 Fixture screen
« on: May 03, 2014, 03:15:57 PM »
I added a button command to show the fixture dialog ( will be in the next version). I did not add Lua call to do it.. If I add a Lua call it will need to be from the scr. module

Thanks
Brian

I agree Gerry, So many things could be removed. The issue is that people want fancy buttons to make things "easy" The issue is that 90% of the users don't know how the offsets work. The good news is most of them don't want to learn :) I was like that at one point in my life...

Well I can tell you that this new School guy has less crashes then most :) You can have your way, but there are other ways to do thing safely
Thanks

I know I just had to take a stab at the Single Block.. Single block and a controller with lookahead is NOT fun.. That along with the fact that I don't use it.. You can see my point :) I want to be lazy!

I know that is what they teach people to do but I find that to be slow and cumbersome. I know many guys that never use it because we use the rapid override and the feed override. Press cycle start nothing happens, slide the sliders and you are 100% in control! We need to add shuttle mode too.. that is an acceptable way to dry run as well :)

We are not going to take it out.. I just needed to tell you that I don't agree with it.. I think it is a vestigial feature from the early CNC's

Thanks

No, the intent of the starting radius is to make it better for doing a counter bore, so it is working as it should as far as that goes.

This was added because in the Fanuc manual that had the G12 G13 said you could use I J so that is what I did. I have used this command to notch out the end of a chunk of stock an feeding out in the opposite direction the stock is nice.

This is not a pocketing cycle.. it is what it is  :)

Thanks

Post your machine profile folder in a zip file please and we will have something to check out for the mm stuff. Heck I think anyone that wants to post here should do that so we can have something to test and debug..  If have Gcode files please post them as well.

Thanks

Terry this is just like the old one with the J vector added in. You move to the start point and do a G12/G13 . Fanuc never had the other options that I added. It was simply a small update to make a nice feature for the guys that hand code. The industrial version will get the full cycle when I get to it. Heck I was going to add the ramping / pocketing code from the wizard when I add it to the industrial version.

have a look at the doc and tell if it is not working like that .. then we know we have a bug.. it is not a Haas

Thanks
