does anyone have a idea of what computer or laptop to get to run M4 and M3. the computer the machine is attached to is about dead its the last old XP computer I have so time for up grade

I plan on doing something simaler art my mum likes to do mosaics with glass or cut glass bottles to make something with them I am making a bottle cutter what I am planing to do is have a peltier sitting under it  so when it gets turned the glass get cut and cold at the same time so then you can take the bottle out and put it in hot water.

when I get my laser going I will try with that as well

the other way you can do it is with G code

something like this
G49 (Cancel TLO)

G58 (Switch to work offset G58)

G0 X10 Y20 (move the tool over the toolsetter)

G31 Z-10 F15 (probe tool down till it touches the toolsetter)

G10 L1 P1 Z#2002 (set the tool length offset value to the G58 Z position where the probe tripped)

G0 Z3 (move up to safe distance)

G54 (reapply old work offset coordinate system)

G43 H1 (apply new TLO for tool 1)

they are getting there there is improvement needed but all the basic features are there, we have free rain to do what ever we wont with M4 if you wont just post anything you wont to supply of what you have done if its a good thing to have they will added it.

there are others doing cool stuff with M4 what are giving over some stuff but showing what they can do or you can help as well, or they are sending it to Brian or they other development team the round team not squire team ( they know what I mean ) it all helps to get everyone what they wont in the end I only hope that M4 can kill linuxcnc what`s ok to use now but is harder to use than lua.

also just a thing that can be done macro b can be used to do some of what is missing at this time some not all yet

that can all be done with notepad++ new updated version, what is needed is more than notepad++ or they are wasting there time they need notepad++, plus back plotter and re-coder so macro b can be done as well.

they wont charge that much for it if it can do everything notepad++ can do in G code plus macro b and back plotter I would pay as much as M4 for it.

just give them time it can be next year.

in lua you get a option drop down as you are typing that you can go through there`s a way to make it come up cant rember how but poppabear know`s the call you wont may be there
