Probe not being detected Mach 3 Mill
« on: September 29, 2023, 10:40:01 PM »
Hi all,

I have a cncest 6040 Chinese router and would like to add a probe input.

I purchased this probe:
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mq7IfYi

And I have connected it to input #4 as shown in the manual:
https://shorturl.at/sDKU7

As per the instructions in the probe box, I connected red to 5V, black to GND and yellow to input #4.

The probe lights up and reacts to me touching it (Led is green until activated then turns red).

In ports and pins I have port set to 3, same as the input setup for emergency stop and pin set to 4.

Probe does not get triggered and I can't see any pins toggling when in the diagnostic window.

I'm out of ideas! What could I be missing??

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by port 3?  Looks like your motion card is a USB type?  Or if parallel port maybe you should select port 1?

Yes it's USB. Sorry should have specified that.
