General Mach Discussion / Re: Code wanders off?
« on: April 06, 2008, 12:12:07 PM »
I have run this file 40 times and have had no trouble... I see that you are not using the 1024.set screen.. Could you please test with the 1024 screen and tell me if you have the same trouble? Also I see that you are not running the files on the C drive... Could you please put the file on the C: drive and tell me if this fixes the problem?  The Problem is that it is a memory mapped file :( This is needed to run the VERY large files...
Thanks and all told I have run your file about 60 times with no problem :( I don't think I am going to see the problem but I have a few more machines that I can test on.

Thank you for the XML and I hope this will help to show the trouble!

Looks to me that your CPUload has everything to do with your Toolpath and not VB.. I am looking into a rewrite of the toolpath code.. Should get started in a few weeks or so ;)

That should not be.. What do you have for a machine???

Do you have any other hardware / softwarethat could be slowing the machine down? Also do not install the drivers.

Thanks

Galil / Re: Mach3 + Galil
« on: March 08, 2008, 09:47:31 AM »
If you would like to probe I would stay away from the Galil at this time... I have boards and so on on the way so I can test the Galil on the new router that I have here but I have no idea how long it is going to take me to get this all working :( I need about 3 more of me to keep up with the work load :(

I think the best thing to do at this time is to make a machine that will run from a desktop computer and change it over to a Smooth stepper as soon as they are out ;)

Thanks
