Machscreen Screen Designer / Re: button to execute gcode
« on: August 05, 2009, 05:53:33 AM »
Hi Antoine

click the button you want to attach the g-code to. In the dialog box "Machscreen eigenschappen" double click in the column "value" of "uitvoer code" line. Choose G-Code in the next dialogbox. Now you can edit your G-Code with the opened editor. Finish your editing with menu "Bestand" and use "gebruik data en sluiten".

General Mach Discussion / Re: Tooltable unkown values
« on: August 05, 2009, 03:17:17 AM »
Hi Chip,

is still the same. The tools3.dat contains
255 entries with [length of string] folowed by "Empty" and 63 times NIL
followed by 255 times 01

I don't think those odd numbers come from the tools3.dat. Some other user have different numbers. For me it looks more like an uninitialized variable / pointer.

General Mach Discussion / Tooltable unkown values
« on: August 04, 2009, 06:57:22 AM »
Hi,

my CNC for my mill still isn't finished yet, in the meantime I'm playing with Mach3. When I open the tooltable I get funny numbers in the 2.line of the list ( see attachmet)on 2 of my computers. I tried different versions of Mach, no change. In a German forum a read, that some users have also odd numbers, others don't. This is not a really problem for me, but since some people don't have those numbers, perhaps I did something wrong.

Machscreen Screen Designer / How do I edit the VB?
« on: June 27, 2009, 03:25:36 AM »
Hi sunmix,

select the object with the vb-script. For example in the 1024.set the button "Ref all home". When you double click the column "value" of the line "Execute code" in the property dialog an editor is started where you can edit your vb-script.  To terminate editing use the file menu. You have the following alternatives:
open files, save file as, with those options you can load data from your disk or store data to your disk.
use data and close -> the edited data is move to the screen.set file and the editor will be closed.
ignore data and close -> all new / changed data will be ignored, thus the code from the screen.set is unchanged and the editor will be closed.

Hi all,

has anyone used the on line help function yet? I'm wondering, if the frame elements are in English. I would appreciate every answer.

Hi,

I changed the help system to HTML, so all Vista users, can use the help - system. There is still a lot to be done. If you find errors, or funny English, please let me know.

Hi Scott

Mach3 doesn't support multi line text. You also asked about individual fonts and font sizes in MachScreen. Also Mach3 gives you the opportunity to select a font and a font size, these parameters aren't stored in the *.set file. Since there is no way to store the font data in the *.set file, it makes no sense to implement in selectable font option in MachScreen, sorry.

Hi

version V1.21.0 is ready for download. In that version the paste problem is fixed. You can now place object repeatedly at the mouse position, when you keep the ctrl key pressed.

@ Scott just you frightend again ;D. Every time you start up machscreen, a copy of the actual set-file is set to the history-files. The file with lowest number at the file extension  (*.se1) is the newest. You can rename that file to *.set and you have the version, before starting machscreen.

Hi Scott,

thank you for your info.
1)  I will fix this problem
2) In the file menu I offer 4 alternatives:
"Open file" to load data from a file
"Save file as"  to give you the opportunity to save your data to a fie
"use data and close" puts the edited data to the set file
"ignore data and close" gives you the opportunity to cancel, which means leave your data from the set file unchanged.
If you close the editor window with the close icon an messagebox asks you "include data to screen set"  yes / no / cancel, with the same results, as the menu selections.

3) You can insert objects multiple, one for each hit of the "add" button, when "place elements on mouse position is off". I will think about a solution for you.

Klaus

EDIT: If you have suggestions, perhaps different text or so. please tell me.

Hi David,

in version V1.20.1 I made the following changes:
the menu item "save as" is now always enabled
moving selected items with the position keys: arrow keys moving 1 pixel, page keys moving 5 pixels.
