In the next week I will be getting back to Lcam. I have been working in Mach3 getting some small bugs out. We are very close to having Mach3 to the point that we are very happy with it...  After that it is Lcam time :)

No problem... there is a new version on line and I don't know if Art worked on that :( I will try to talk to him about that when I see him down at the Camp.

Thank you for telling us that it is not right

Thank you! Art is a very hard working man and it is hard to just keep up with him a little!

Thanks again from all of us

Yes mach3 can be used to set the speed of the spindle AND you can also use the sensors to pick up the spindle speed. I used the one From PMDX  and from PC4CNC

Hope that helps

It will correct the lash at every quadrant... You are right in thinking that arcs could be a problem :)

Hope that helps

I think you need to put a scope on the encoder lines to see if you have noise... That is about all I can think of...

as a test try Sherline mode under ports and pins. This will give you a very long pulse step to test with.

thanks

Yes, your informant was correct :) But it will not work for the old controllers :( It will only work on the new USB controller, I think it is called the "NC Pod" . I will have a pod here to test with mach3 after I get back from the shopbot camp next week :)
