Great ideas fella's!
Chris, not sure how a diode laser would work, but I can tell you my yag laser is totally worthless for polishing wax. The beam tends to bounce off or blow right through in unexpected areas; even at very low settings.  ;D

Thanks  Sam,  Typical machine time in wax on a rotary is probably about an hour and 1/2.... 3 sided jobs normally take at least 3 hours...Wax is pretty soft and I normally run about 800 mm/min.

One more for now...Using VisualArt to create the picture files.

Thanks Brian.
Do you or anyone know if this controller board is any good?

I think my best option now is a new controller.

I came across this and wondered if it might be an option to convert the serial to parallel?

Thanks for the quick reply Brett!
I do have the schematics on the machine....Now reading the diagrams may not be easy for me. I am very limited in my knowledge of wiring diagrams...
If anyone is willing to help in this matter, I would be much indebted and promise to dance at their next wedding :)
The pdf file is 6.7mb and I dont know if it would be appropriate to even upload here?
Thanks again!
Ken
