Mach2 would run about anything and if it didn't know the comand it would skip the block Mach3 needs to have everything right or it will get mad at you. So if it is a good post it should be okay...

The speed that you need... It will need to be done in a Driver module But we can talk to it to set the values in the driver module

The cherge pump could be the problem... This is used by many to enable boards... I don't have a THC so I can't  help to much

The firmware is the code in the Grex... We don't write that Steve H. is the one that is working on it... I know he is working on it but I have no idea when it will be done.

You can't do that if you need more IO you will need to get a 2nd printer port
