General Mach Discussion / Re: Z axis not working appropriately
« on: May 02, 2013, 02:23:06 AM »
mach3 now shows the Z-axis is no longer in bold but X and Y axis are still bold and working properly.

As you will see from picture "ScreenShot" the Z axis is no longer bold like X,Y, and 4.

This sounds pretty serious...

What do you mean the Z axis is no longer in bold? Where? A DRO? a label? a button? On the main screan? in motor tuning? What??? Where???

XML looks fine so...

port #2 .16v pressing the - or +
port#3  3.23v when I press the  - and stay like that till i press the + then it goes to 0v  and same thing happen to the other Y,Z.
Looks like you have a 3.5V parallel port. If this is the case you'll need to either add a new 5V parallel port card or a BOB that will accept 3.5V in and provide 5V out.

Jaime - I didn't ask for the NAME of your profile and I didn't ask you to post pictures. Please re-read my first reply and post your xml FILE.

Hood - is EC07 likely to be correct? - it seems a strange PP base address to me. In the first post, the range looked *normal* i.e. EC00 - EC07.

OK Phillip - let's try to clear up where you are at the moment. In your first post you said you couldn't get Mach to recognize your card. Also you said you were not able to get out of E-Stop. But now you seem to be saying your machine is moving (all?) the axes but it's cutting weird shapes.

Hi Phillip - welcome

Please post your xml file (instructions below if you don't know how to do this).

<your profile name> is displayed at the bottom right of the standard Mach3 screenset.

Now look in C:\Mach for a file called <your profile name>.xml

Copy it to your desktop and rename it to <your forum name>.xml i.e. Hazellwood.xml
Now use the <Additional Options...> link at the bottom left of the forum (full) reply pane to add your xml file to your reply post.

Jaime - this is why I asked you to check the profile name bottom right and post your xml - it's the easiest way for us to check your setup without continually guessing.

Thanks Dave - I may have misunderstood the issue there.

Hi Jaime - welcome

Can you post your xml please. Same name as your profile at bottom right of the main screen but with a .xml extension. You'll find it in C:\Mach3. Copy it to your desktop, change it's name to Jaime.xml and use the attachments button below your reply.

BTW - to jog X and Z use left/right arrow keys and Page Up/Down.
