Hi,
first of all you have to be clear in witch unit you what to work,
because sometimes you are talking in mm and sometimes in inches.
let's say we want to work in mm.
figure out what your leadscrew pitch is (for example 15mm per rotation)
figure out the stepangle of your motors (for example 1,8° menas 200 Steps per rotation)
figure out in witch stepping mode your stepper controller is set up (for example 1/2 step mode)
in our example we have 1/2 setp mode and 200 Steps/rot. means we need 400Steps per 15mm.
-> 26.66666666 Steps/mm will per your setup in motortuning
for the speed you can start with 400rev/min what means
-> 6000 mm/min is your speed for motortuning
for acceleration let's start with 600 (1/10 of speed)
if your machine is running now in the correct measurement
you can pay with speed and acceleration.
all these values are based on my example above.
