I thnik there is a Mach bug here. Let me be sure I understand what happened.

Did you define DRO1101 on one of the top level Mach screens? Then when you call the PowerFeed wizard your DRO value shows, instead of what the wizard wants?

Mach is supposed to save all the user DRO (and LEDs) before it calls a wizard, and restore them when the wizard finishes. It sounds like that does not really work.

Do you have a macropump running to do that divide by 9 and update the DRO? That would then update the value in the wizard.

Im home, and starting to look at some of the wizard bugs.

This one is very strange, my own machine has a spindle senor and shows the speed, but it doesnt get mixed.

I use DRO numbers 1100 tyo 1108 and none of those are speed.

Does anyone else see this problem?

I need to update to the latest Mach and then re-test all the wizards. Ill be doing that in the next couple days.

I have been on a long vacation, driving Maine to Seattle to San Francisco and home. I have not had a chance to fix it yet, but I should be home in 2 days. I will get to then.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Best way to connect a pendant to pc ?

I have an Xkeys USB model. My Genovation is ps2. The USB driver does work with Mach, I have not seen any trouble, but Im always nervous with extra drivers and wonder if the next Mach version will croak.

I was able to get a 24 key layout that does everything I need to run the mill. All the jog functions, Start, Run, etc. Its very nice on my router, the cable is long enough to move the pad to wherever Im setting a tool.

I did modify the mach screens to put the jog control stuff on the top screen- I kept loosing track of jog increment, and that leads to bad surprises.

I use a Genovation keypad. Its got 24 keys, can be programed to send any keystroke. The caps are removeable so youp rint a legend sheet, cut it up, and put a piece under each cap. That makes the labels very permanent. I got one off ebay for about $50, new they are under $100.

There is also one called Xkeys, about the same price, but it uses a special driver that remaps the keystrokes. I bought one, by mistake, I intended to get another genovation, but it works ok for me.

I use one on a router and one on a mill. I like them a lot

Wow, thats a weird one. I suspect it is caused by duplication of the DRO numbers, something I have worried about. But Art says he saves and restores all DROs before starting any wizard.

Im on a long road trip now, and have limited debugging ability. I will try to look at this, but cant promise a fix until Im home in about 2 weeks.

In theory, it ought to be possible. But I am currently on an extended vacation- driving across country, and wont be home until after July15 or so. I am checking out minor bugs on my laptop as I travel,  but attempting to do a taper thread cycle without a way to test it would likely not work well.

I will see what I can do when Im home.

The code looks correct, note that the G81 is a modal command, and every X and Y following it drills another hole.

But it looks like you only made the X distance .5, so you got 92 holes in the first .5 inch. The wizard wants to know the total length and width of the hole pattern, not the distance between holes

Sorry, I have not found why it makes an extra pass yet. I will find it. When I have a fix I will post a file on this forum.

The wizard will do either a frame of holes, or an array. Note the big icons, just slightly below and left of center screen. You click whichever form you want.

I have not found a case where it does the skipped row you refer to. I will keep looking, but for the next few weeks Im on a road trip and will not have access to a machine. I will be reading mail and doing whatever debugging I can without a machine
