General Mach Discussion / Advice needed from PC GURU

Hey Everybody,
     I'm going to build a new office PC. I would like some advice. The biggest question I have is, what operating system is best suited to this machine?  If I use Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 OEM will I be able to use this with Mach and the rest of my programs? I don't have the drivers for Mach installed on my office PC. I only use it for test and tune in the office and that is limited without the drivers. Here are a few links to the components I would like a thumbs up or down on.

I don't know if this is your problem or not, just starting to play with Lazycam a little. Is Lcam installed on your C drive? If not, move it to C and see if that helps. Let us know.

Good, If it comes down to it, you can take a meter and find the pinout for the DB 25 connector. It may be that it would be very simple. I hope  worst case would be having to solder an end on the cable. Do you know if the program you are running it with now puts out step and direction signals?

LOL, John, first things first, get more jelly beans. I don't know if the spike you are seeing will effect you or not but I would prefer it not have it. Is this a dedicated PC? If so, have you ran the Optomisation File found in the downloads section?

Hey TSN,
    The control box looks good. Is that a DB 25 connector that goes to the PC? It looks like it to me. Is that the only cable you have going to the PC? Do you have a wiring diagram for the box?

   You can post them here on the forum. If you don't know how, watch the welcome tutuor, first or second thread in General Mach Discussion. Size them to no wider that 600 pixels. Also might want to post them in General Mach Discussion. If you have any problems, let me know.
