How do you pocket with islands?
I watched the Lazycam pocketing video.
They demonstrate pocketing inside a square and Lazcam avoiding another square inside the first one.
See attached dxf. It has three small squares inside of one large one.
I want to pocket inside the large square and avoid the three smaller ones.
How to do this?

Load DXF.
select layer 2
Select Pocketing
enter tool dia, eg. .125
click create pocket.

Graham, Thats great it works! I have no idea what I was doing wrong.
Brett, That avatar is actually a picture of me taken after two hours of trying to figure out LazyCam pockets by myself.
It pays to throw out the Machsupport lifeline.
These guys are great.
Thanks for all y'alls help.

I pushed the pocket routine to the max this weekend. I thought I could make it crash but it did this pocket
with 25,454 lines of code without complaint.
That is a 7" long nameplate x 1" wide. Did the complete thing with a 1/32" end mill with 70% stepover.
Lazy Cam and Mach3 ROCK!

Good job Metal Twister. Now I don't know which I like best, your avatar or that name plate. ;) Thanks for sharing that with us.
