I can't get mach3 to run in MM units, even using G21 at the begining of my coding. How do I get the s/w to run in MM only, running XP.

The problem I am having is getting the controller to work in MM. I use G21 at the start of code but the part is produced in inches. When I tuned up the motors I was able to do this in MM. The units button on the diag page is set to MM.
Thanks for any help

Have you set the steps per correctly in the motor tuning window?
What is creating the code for you?
if you run this code with a pencil in the chuck what size is the 25mm square it should be making
g21 g40 g00 g90
x0 y0 z25.
z0
g01 x25 f100.
y25.
x0
y0
g00 z25.

thanks using your code I was able to get my system to switch units.
My new problem is with the A axis. What settings do I need to set to enable my A axis to work in degrees. Right now when the A code sees 1 it makes 1 rev, I need it to move 1 degree.
Thanks

In config, toolpath, A-axis rotation enable and use diam. for feedrate should be checked. If they are allready, look at your steps per in motor tuning, divide it by 360.
Hope this helps,
Brett
