Hi,

  I have been misusing Mack3. I just started setting G54 and G59 values. When I set G54 X and Y by the buttons on the Offsets page, the values are negative (Meaning the table must go in the positive direction to achieve a zero, zero (0,0) position.
  But when I go to MIDI page and enter "G0G90G54X0Y0" the table moves in the exact opposite direction than it should. My gauge is 0.0016 inch and I have a 1/8 inch tool. The offsets for X and Y are both set to -0.06266 which seems correct (The head is exactly that far off the part ZERO, ZERO (0,0) point. But, as I said, when I enter "G0G90G54X0Y0" to set the table to (0, 0), the table moves the head to (-0.12516, -0.12516) and Z offset is corrupt.
  Since I know where X=0 and Y=0 are located, I can move the table to correct location using MIDI page. At that point, I have to reset Z value.

Anyone have this issue or know how to change Mach 3 to set values correctly?

In general:
Mach defaults to G54 on opening. When the machine is homed / referenced you have defined in MC ( Machine Coordinates ) 0,0,0
to the controller a reference point to work from. G54 to G59 is a WORK / FIXTURE offset FROM home to the part. So if you move from home to some point on the part, the distance moved from home could be one of the work offsets of your choosing. G90 is absolute distance move to a point which is relative to MC 0,0,0. Work offsets can be positive or negative in value. What the DRO shows for a  current location depends on whether you are displaying in MC's or Part  Coordinates.

If you understand the above then you will be able to address your question.
