RC style pwm
« on: January 26, 2018, 08:49:32 AM »
I am using an RC outboard motor and controller on my engraver spindle and am not having any luck with the pwm signal on my pokeys57cnc.
Can anyone help with settings.
Do I use the Mach3 configuration or poblocks software?

Hi Zarzul,
Do you mean RC Outrunner Motor?

Mike
We never have the time or money to do it right the first time, but we somehow manage to do it twice and then spend the money to get it right.

Yes, Mike,  Thank you.    Outrunner.
I got ahold of the PoKeys support group and they gave me the solution as follows.

The best way is to use PoBlocks and set the desired speed via PoIL shared slots.
In PoBlocks, you can use the 'Extended / Re-scale' block to scale the 0-max rpm to 1 to 2 ms PWM signal duty cycle and feed this into the PWM output block inside PoBlocks.

They are very fast with their customer support,  Kudos to PoKeys for outstanding support!!
