In order to convert your .dxf drawings to Gcode some more information is required...

What thickness is the material ?
What diameter is your cutter ?
How deep do you want to cut per pass (depth of cut) ?
What feed-rate do you want to use ?
Are you working in Inches or Millimeters ?

Tweakie.
PEACE

Hello there Tweakie

the thickness is 1/4"
the bit is 1/8"  2 Flute 45° Helix 1/2" Flute Length 1-1/2"
i want to remove 1/32" per pass
feed rate of 50%

as you can see im playing very safe here since i do have the time to sit and wait
this is teaching me little by little about cad work and how gcodes work.
do you recommend some where to get some training
i was looking into lynda.com
im not sure cause i didst see much about gcodes.
but plenty of cads program nothing about mach 3 there but i started watching paul in youtube.

Check the attached Gcode file to see if that is what you need.

Perhaps you should consider purchasing Vectric (or similar) CAD/CAM software. http://www.vectric.com/

Save yourself the time looking all over the place to learn about gcode  etc.
Just buy Peter Smid's book CNC Programming Handbook, read the first 125 or so pages and start studying it.

If your trying to use LazyCam then read the manual for it in Member's Doc's. You may want to play  with the wizards available.
Cambam won't break the bank and produces good code.

Enjoy the learning curve.......
