Change or map axis on Pokeys57CNC
« on: December 03, 2016, 12:25:56 PM »
Hi all,

i have big problem or i dont understand th manual.

I use the Pokeys57CNC on a combi lathe/mill.
The axis x, y and z works perfect on the mill, but on the lathe i will be deactivated the z-axis from the mill and change the y-axis from the table to the z-axis.

If i use my old lpt interface, i could change the pins in the port&pin setup-->Motorsettings, but the 57CNC didn't use pins.
The stepper driver are connected to motor port1, motor port2 and motor port3.

I hope somebody can help. Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks

Hello kiely,
do you realy use different Profile in mach3?
I use normaly on one Machine two Profiles: one for 3 Axis an one for the 4 Axis use.
I tried up one who i made the 4.th axis to the spindle so i could try out something as a late.

When you like to swap tue axes it is released under Mach4.
With mach3 you can´t do that. :-\
I know only switch on / off an axis over diffrent profiles.

look at the pulse engine document.

simplest would be a simple switch with multiple contacts which will route the signals to whatever drive you want, or use some kind of plug connector and swap

as suggested here
https://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php?;topic=31735.0

From pokeys support replay says that swapaxis does not work on Pokeys

hello danilom,
i agree with you as long the switch has no dust on the contacts!
it is an simple solution but you can´t change your config in your nc if it is used.

now i have fix it!

i use a changer relais between the y and z axis motor. the relais is connected to an output port of pokeys.

if i use the lathe profile, the relais change automatic the motorports when outputsignal in mach3 is on.

thanks for tips and helping
