Reset required after homing
« on: September 09, 2016, 05:25:37 PM »
I have been running a 4030 cnc for a while now and never had a glitch like this. My new machine is powered by a Gecko G540, and somewhere along the line while programming it, I have developed a hiccup. I have my motor tuning, homing switches, soft limits, etc all set up and made a few test cuts. At first it seemed fine, but then after homing it and moving to my tables zero, it wouldnt let me zero the dro's until I clicked the reset button. Then it allows me to zero and all is fine. I also tried to upload a file before moving from the home position and that also causes a "please wait- generating path" box that wont go away, again until after a reset. As soon as I reset it, everything is fine. If I do not home the machine, everything is perfectly normal and no reset is required.

Is there a box I checked somewhere that would cause this behavior that only goes away after a reset? I set the old machine back up and it still operates normal after a homing, so im assuming that narrows to my xml file?

Ugh, figured it out after endless days of searching....I had the A axis homing turned on...it was waiting for an input apparently.

For a newbie, I will say...when slaving an axis there are a lot of setting you would expect would change for you  ;D
