Slave axis issue with Pokeys 57E / PoExtBusOC16CNC
« on: November 02, 2015, 03:20:04 AM »
Hi,

i'm using the the Pokeys 57E with a PoExtBusOC16CNC extension board to drive my machine, that has two steppers for the gantry (Y-axis).
In Mach3 the A-axis is configured as slave of the Y-axis to drive both gantry-steppers synchronously.

Jogging works fine untill i try to move two axis simultaneously.
The following sequence during jogging with the arrow keys, always shows the same behaviour:

While moving the Y-axis, start moving the X-Axis. Both axis are moving simultaneously.
Then stop moving the X-axis while still moving the Y-axis.

This leads to the effect, that the gantry stepper connected to the Y-axis stops moving and the one, connected to the slaved A-axis is still running
even if the corresponding arrow key is released!
It can be stopped only by pressing the emergency button!

What is going wrong there?
Has anybody seen similar effects using slaved axis in Mach3?

Phil

Hi, Phil

I am responding little late, but we will check for the issues with parallel jogging.
