Spindle water cooling system 2.2KW
« on: December 30, 2011, 08:26:33 AM »
I wanna show my solution for the water spindle, it's working so good.

http://youtu.be/Qy_ja34B8ng

At 35 degrees the fans and LED's switch on, at 33.9 off.

I couldn't find so many information about this so I wanna share my solution.

Great idea Juan. Do you have any information on the temperature controller you are using ??

A little bit more of information.

The cooling kit is:

XSPC Rasa 750 RS360

The fluid is:

Feser One Non Conductive. You can choose many different colors

Hi Juan,

Thanks for the info, that is most interesting.

(I don't think I would want to put the 'Feser One Non Conductive' to a real electrical test though  ;D )

Yes Tweakie, With a 12V DC fan is easy but with a 220V AC spindle we should see what happens, but nothing good for sure. Hahaha!

I don't think you will have any problems at 220 Volts whether the water is marginally conductive or not.

I use a similar 3 fan radiator, circulating pump, flow sensor, silicone tubing etc. with distilled water and 30% antifreeze for cooling my laser tube which runs at 16,000 Volts. There are no problems (but I would not want to stick my finger, or anything else, into the water when it is running).  ;D ;D

Can I use 50/50 antifreeze/coolant from autozone? Straight out of the bottle? Or should I mix it?
