Wizard problem
« on: November 22, 2011, 11:17:16 PM »
I like the wizards now I have started using but have one issue, when I input data I normally input lets say .250 but I have to input 0.250, if I don't put the 0 first it becomes 250. that could be a nasty problem.
Also when I am on the the mach3 screen and go to Last wizard, the material screen comes up but doesn't show the next or continue then I have to shut down and start again.
Ray.

Are you refering to the Newfangled wizard? That one requires a license.
What screen set are you using?

You must be using the auto calculator, the on screen popup keypad. It does require the 0, or some digit, before the decimal. Thats not a wizard problem, its how the keypad works.

There is a a known bug that causes the 'last screen' button to fail to load all the wizards graphics if its the first thing called after bootup of mach. If you select the wizard from the menu it works fine. Brian knows about the bug, I guess he hasnt fixed it yet.

yes I am using the newfangled wizard.
Can I use the keyboard then, and not the pop up screen. That pop up keyboard could be very dangerous...
Thanks,Ray.

Sure, the popup keyboard has nothing to do with the wizard- its a standard mach option. Go to the operator menu and check off the Auto Calculator.

Just testing all the functions and have come up with another small problem.
Rectangle pocket, anything less than .5" rad I don't get one.
If I lets say .625 rad and preview I get g03 R.125, .5 corner rad and preview there are no g02/3 just straight lines. 1. corner rad, g code g03/2 R.5 etc.
Regards, Ray.

If your tool is to big to fit the radius it cant be made. Try a smaller tool

I bought my NewFangled license about 18 months ago and have been using it very successfully.
After a mains power failure, the motherboard on on my PC died and I have had to replace it.
To cut a long story short, I have Mach3 up and running from a backup quite quickly and moved my NewFangled license file to the Mach root directory.
While I was at it I have updated to version 2.86 but now I cannot get passed the initial screen where I set the Material and Max spindle speed and Feedrate.
Clicking the continue button does nothing. I have checked that the Auto Calculator is off but still it dose not want to work.
Any ideas please.
Thanks
John
