V1.51 bugs
« on: July 09, 2011, 07:57:31 AM »
Klaus,

A few issues I wanted to report in V1.51. The hotkey option for the buttons is not accepting the ` character any more. It's the hotkey for Reset button. The lock for mouse option is not functioning as it did with the previous versions. After enabling it, I can't move the object but it get selected when I click on it.

OK, I found the option "lock for selection" from the video. But the hotkey issue is still there.

Hello Zafar,

could you please give me the decimal equivalent for that character? Does the key "hotkey direct" in the property dialog take the decimal number?

Klaus,

It is 96. When I enter it, I get "numpad 0" as hotkey.

Hi Zafar

I've sent you a email with a fixed version (development version V1.51a). I would appreciate it, if you could tell me your experiences.

Klaus,

Thanks a lot for the quick response. V1.51a now accepts the ` key when I double click on the hotkey vlaue place. But the hotkey direct option is showing me decimal code of 192. The ASCII code for ` is 96.

Hi Zafar,

what you are seeing in the "Hotkey direct" dialog is the so called virtual key code. This is the code I get from the keyboard.
Does this code do what it is supposed to do? I can see the problem,  when you're using direct input option, to find the proper number. I have to think about for a solution.

Klaus,

Yes it does what it is supposed to do except that the decimal code does not match with the ASCII code for that character. ASCII codes for the alphabet keys are the same as the hotkey direct keys. Another minor issue is that it doesn't save the "selectable" yes or no values for bitmaps. I mark a background bitmap as selectable/no, save the file, exit and run the Machscreen again. The bitmap appears as selectable/yes again.
