Adding multiple operations?
« on: May 13, 2011, 06:28:18 AM »
Is it possible to add a few NFS operations together?

I have a batch of 30 parts that need machining.
I want to cut 3 x slots and I am using the Keyway wizard for each of the slots.
I do this individually and i have to change the wizard to do a new slot and keep the part in the vice.
Or I just do one slot on each part and change the part every time until i have done all the parts, then set up slot 2 and repeat.
How do I do all 3 operations in one hit?

Is it as simple as copying the 3 g codes generated by the wizards in one file?

I know many of you will frown at such a silly question but I really am a complete novice.

Please help!

Tal.

Ack!.
.
.
That was a bit of a RTFM moment!

Read the F***ing Manual!

All sorted now, I was exiting the wizards when I could have selected another operation at the "operation selection" screen.

You are not alone! I have been using it for single ops when I was too lazy to CAD it for over a year (not daily or anything just hobby learning). I resist a manual more than anything. Reading and comprehension issues can make that cumbersome. YouTube demos would have been great. Uh Oh, did I look on YouTube before posting this?  No but you can guess how many syllables there are in ASS/U/ME cant you? Always better late than never.
I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather, not like the passengers in the car! :-)
