Changing parallel port setting to run Mach3
« on: April 01, 2010, 08:25:36 PM »
I've built a plasma table with a Probotics 3 Axis kit and I've downloaded the Demo version to try just to see if it is going to work. One of the problems that I'm having is with it communicating with the Driver board and Mach. I was told by Probotics that I need to change the Parallel port setting. Is this true? Or is there some way to set up Mach to work with this. I can't believe that I would have to change the printer port settings to get this to work.

Please help I just want to see it run.

Thanks in advance
Lance

You need to tell mach the address of the parellel port in config>port& pins, so that is what they are probably talking about i am thinking.
Post info on your controller. Till then maybe someone who has same controller will post.
